Who’s for protecting cops? We are. Who’s not? The Republicans and the NRA, who want to allow people on the terrorist watch list to buy guns… who want armor-piercing bullets on store shelves. Cenk Uygur, Ben Mankiewicz (Turner Classic Movies), and John Iadarola (Think Tank), hosts of the The Young Turks, break it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.
“Wood said she was on the second floor of her building around 11:15 Wednesday morning when she heard what sounded like automatic gunfire. She said she heard about 25 to 30 rounds, followed by more gunfire.

“You could tell the person stopped and re-loaded and started again,” Wood said.
Wood said she immediately moved away from the windows, called 911 and made an announcement to the school over an intercom telling students to stay where they were.
She said there were about 60 adults at the school and that people were worried and tense, but that everyone was safe. She said the school was on lockdown.”*

I take serious issue with your rant concerning so called “armor piercing bullets”. There is no such thing in the civilian market, I have been a gun owner for nearly 30 years and never once have I seen on any gun shop shelf any bullet marked or advertised as ” armor piercing” these are just another myth perpertraited by the liberal media to sensationalize these gun related stories even more and impart more fear into the uneducated public. Before you go off on a subject mabe you should do a little research for yourself and not just parrot what is already being fostered on the public buy the liberal media. Also as a note of fact, ANY rifle round will penetrate a standard police bullet proof vest, they are not designed to stop Hi velocity rounds of any kind only the relatively slow velocity of a handgun round and they will only stop a few of those before they fail.
I have watched your show for quite a while now and have always respected the way you reported the stories you cover but this particular time it seemed it was more kneejerk reaction and ranting than serious news reporting.
PS. No I will not comment on the NRA slant of this story, personally even as a gun owner I’m not a big fan of theirs.
