A former UFC fighter by the name of David Abbot is making headlines today after some comments he made during a podcast about Ronda Rousey. Ronda Rousey is kicking UFC ass. She is a female fighter and she’s doing really well.

“Former UFC fighter and pro wrestler David “Tank” Abbott says he could easily “bash” up undefeated UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey. His reasoning? “She’s a girl.”
Weighing in on the debate over who would win a fight between Rousey and Floyd Mayweather on “The Proving Ground” podcast this week, Abbott said the boxer would “knock the living stuffing out of Rousey.”
“She’s a girl. It’s all about this emotional stuff,” he said.
Abbott, an icon from the early days of UFC, went on to issue a formal challenge to “any woman on this Earth.”

Please, TYT- ask around your office and get an MMA correspondent. Every time you report on the UFC you get things deeply wrong, have glaring omissions and give uninformed opinions. If you were to talk to a UFC fan for just a minute before reporting you could solve a lot of these problems.
In this case alone you would have known
1) David Tank Abbot is not currently an MMA fighter and has not fought for the UFC since 2003 and has not been considered a relevant fighter since 1998 (his 2003 return was nostalgia). The man is fifty years old!
2) He had moderate success during the golden era when the talent pool was so underdeveloped that UFC looked like a different sport. Tank Abbott has never been considered a “Great” fighter and has lost twelve of his last sixteen fights. If he fought Rousey he would be the deep underdog
3) Rousey trains with (and regularly defeats) men in training including but not limited to Luke Rockhold who is the current #1 contender for the middleweight men’s championship.
I know that you will report on the sport in the future and I do not expect you to know all these things but I am sure there is someone in your office who knows about this stuff who can help you prepare for these stories
DAVID “THE TANK” ABBOTT , your mother would be ashamed of you! Calling a girl out for a fight. Seriously. Let’s just concede the fact that you don’t really expect Ronda to accept your challenge. Let’s look at this in the most practical way we can. You want to ride the coat-tails of Ronda Rousey, because until this Idiotic move of yours, I”VE NEVER HEARD OF YOU. Granted you must be thinking, “Well I don’t know much about MMA, Fighters” Well your right. But you know I have heard of Ronda Rousey. Stop your egotistical Misogynistic attempt at attention. You must be playing a Donald Trump card, Say or do the most outrageous thing for some attention. P.S. Even that has a negative side effect.
