A Confederate group in Virginia has made a fool of themselves by flying a banner from a plane with a misspelled message. The banner read “Confederate Heros Matter” and was intended to protest the #BlackLivesMatter movement. The E was missing from the word heroes. TheBlaze reported that this group, called The Virginia Flaggers, was trying to push back against #BlackLivesMatter and efforts to get Confederate monuments renamed.
#BlackLivesMatter was in Virginia on training day for the UCI Road World Championships and protesters spoke about how “most Richmonders do not support showcasing these monuments to Confederate military and political leaders during this world-famous sports event.”
