The fine ladies at The View decided to say some pretty terrible things about nurses. They specifically were talking about the Miss America contest when Miss Colorado, Kelly Johnson, went up on stage wearing a stethoscope and her scrubs. She talked about how she was a nurse talking about patients with Alzheimer’s.

I want to say that the VIEW’s response to Miss Colorado’s talent appearence was in ” TOTAL DISRESPECT ” to not only the Nursing Field but to the TOTAL MEDICAL Community. ANA I agree that Miss Colorado’s talent abilities far out weight any lady that gets on stage in a bikini or twirls a baton… What good would any of those talents have in a medical position? I have worked as a Certified Nurses Aid (CNA), also a Medic in the U.S. Army/ Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and now into Pharamcology… I know what it takes to obtain the degrees and licenses of these professions.. My hat is off to Miss Colordao for here talent abilities… SHAME, SHAME, SHAME on the ladies of the VIEW for unloading on Miss Colorado for her talent ability… Let’s see one of them take Miss Colorado’s place and treat a patient that has Alzheimer’s… I know first hand what it takes because my father passed away from Alzheimer’s Disease…
As for Joy’s statement about Miss Colorado wearing a DOCTOR”S Stethoscope was totally inappropriate… I wore a stethoscope everyday as a medic/EMT and carried one with me at all times as a CNA… She needs to observe the medical communities attire better… Not all DOCTOR’s wear stethoscopes nor carry them! More Nurses wear them vice doctors…
