Styleogue NYC host Bec Susan Gill sits down with singer/songwriter (and New York fashion insider) Timorris Lane to discuss men’s fashion – and the awkward moments that can happen to even the most discerning man.
Bec brings up the common problems – then Timorris offers some sage brotherly advice to all the men out there. Here’s some of the top awkward moments – and the recommended ways to avoid them happening again.
1. Readjusting your package
Yes, it’s natural to (from time to time!) want to put your man bits back where they belong. But! You should go to the toilet or outside, or go try to look like you are getting something from your pocket – so as to make your crotch adjustment discreet.
2. Being drenched in back sweat
– Make sure to Drink plenty of cold water – this will lower your body temperature (meaning you don’t sweat so much!)
– Try to avoid synthetic fibres that trap in sweat (wear natural fibres instead)
3. Showing off man boobs
Note: there’s nothing wrong with man boobs – we are all cool with what’s underneath…. but we don’t really need to have it spelled out. It’s kind of like the female version of camel toe!
– If you have man boobs – it’s best to avoid wearing block white shirts – as this will accentuate the contours of your chest.
– Wear patterns – these will camouflage the problem area – small to medium-size prints are best.
Timorris then teaches Bec a dance moves, which prove successful – maybe.
