Next Stop for The Young Turks: The AOL On Network

From YouTube to Roku, Hulu, and Facebook, The Young Turks (TYT) have conquered nearly every major online platform – producing videos tailored to each platform’s audience. And still, they continue to expand. TYT recently announced that they would begin distributing content through the AOL On Network.
Part of AOL’s appeal to Verizon is its advertising technology, which includes its large video distribution network.
“The Young Turks and AOL have been working on this deal long before the announcement of the Verizon deal,” Steve Oh, COO, The Young Turks, tells LostRemote. “That said, just this week, TYT and Verizon have begun exploring opportunities for TYT to create content for Verizon’s various platforms.”
Whichever platforms its fans are using, TYT will expand there. “Our goal is to be wherever the audience is, to extend our brand and grow our fan base,” Oh says.
The next logical step for the network is mobile messaging platforms, which may include Snapchat and Kik, among others.
