Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown implied earlier today that President Obama‘s criticisms of Senator Elizabeth Warren may possibly be tinged with just a hint of sexism.

Well, the president of the National Organization of Women was asked about the same issue by The Hill, and said the same thing, without all the sugarcoating.

Terry O’Neill said, “Yes, I think it is sexist. I think the president was trying to build up his own trustworthiness on this issue by convincing us that Senator Warren’s concerns are not to be taken seriously. But he did it in a sexist way.”

And the subtext of Obama’s remarks dismissing Warren as just another politician, she said, was just “the little lady just doesn’t know what she’s talking about.”
