“After a high speed pursuit along with officers in Tulsa, Oklahoma Robert Bates fatally shot Eric Harris. Bates has claimed he meant to fire his taser rather than his fire arm and is now publicly apologizing on the Today Show on NBC. Bates is out on bail awaiting a public trail where he could face a manslaughter charge. Bates, being interviewed by Matt Lauer, admitted to the shooting, and apologized to Harris’s family for the undercover sting operation that went horribly wrong.”

did he get back from vacation in the Bahamas yet?
I know of one account where this did occur here in Saskatchewan, the rcmp thought he had a taser but in fact had a pistol. He almost shot someone in the face.
