Ana Kasparian (http://www.twitter.com/AnaKasparian) and John Iadarola (https://twitter.com/jiadarola) filling in for Cenk Uygur (http://www.twitter.com/cenkuygur) host of The Young Turks discuss Rolling Stones Magazine retracting a story that was fabricated about a girl that had been raped at a Fraternity at the University of Virginia.

“A Columbia University study recently found that an article titled ‘A Rape On Campus’ by Sabrina Rubin Erdely published by Rolling Stones Magazine about a supposed rape that occurred at a University of Virginia Frat was riddled with errors and was really just a terrible example of journalism over all. Rolling Stones has removed the article as it can not be proven that it factually ever even happened. Among the many errors the article contained some included only citing one point of view and one source and not actually bothering to fact check any of the story. Charlottesville police investigated the story and after interviewing seventy people found that there was no evidence that any type of rape activity had ever occurred when it was supposed to have happened.”

Should allegations of rape be investigated more than they currently are? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
