“Cenk Uygur (http://www.twitter.com/cenkuygur), John Iadaola (https://twitter.com/jiadarola) and Jimmy Dore (https://twitter.com/jimmy_dore) host of The Young Turks discusses Saudi Arabia and its allies beginning military action in the crumbling nation of Yemen.
Yemen has been in turmoil for half a decade with wars, revolutions, and now a coup. In a move that they are saying is meant to stabilize the region, Saudi Arabia and its regional allies have launched air strikes against Houthi rebels ahead of a suspected push into the country with troops on the ground. A spokesperson for Saudi Arabia told the press that the purpose of military intervention is to protect the democratically elected president who has found asylum in Saudi Arabia.
The U.S. and E.U. have stated that they have no interest in being involved in a military solution for Yemen at this time. Several officials in the U.S. are a little upset by this, calling President Obama an ‘Anti-war’ president.”
