Cenk Uygur (http://www.twitter.com/cenkuygur) host of The Young Turks discusses the arrest of two U.S. Tourist who were caught carving their name into the Colosseum in Rome.
“Some on a vacation take photos, others eat fine meals, and some will take sand home from a beach whether they planned to or not. However for some inventive American tourists, vandalism seemed to be on the itinerary for the trip. Local papers reported that a tourist who’s name has not been released used a coin to scratch her initials into the bricks of the ancient ruin.
The duo in question, who no doubt have a fascinating ‘about me’ hobby section on Facebook, released a statement and apologized for their actions but seemed less than genuine saying, ‘We’ll remember for a lifetime.’ The pair could face jail time and up to $25,000 in fines.”
