Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz is sort of known for his wacky antics but he may have gone a little too far during a speech sponsored by the Strafford County Republican Committee in New Hampshire. Cruz was giving a fiery speech that was mostly negative towards the Obama administration. Business as usual. He was especially negative of Obama’s foreign policy, saying that he has left ‘the world on fire’. A little girl in the crowd loudly asked her mother if this was true, and Cruz took a moment out of his speech to focus on the girl and answer her question; ‘Yes, your world is on fire!’ he told her.
Obviously this left the girl understandably upset. This outburst by Cruz has been widely regarded as a bad move, with reporters and onlookers taking to Twitter to bash Cruz. Their reactions have gone from flabbergasted to comical. Cruz attempted to quell the child but it still doesn’t change his brief lasp in judgement.”
