Syrian rebels supported by the CIA have had their money and supplies cut off or substantially reduced by President Obama in recent months. While the CIA doesn’t have the resources to support these groups anymore, the explanation for the cuts becomes more complicated as the instability within various rebel brigades leads to trust issues as to who the money is actually going to and what purpose it’s serving. This raises the question of whether the U.S. should fund a number of people inadequately, and without results, or not fund anyone at all. We explain the reasons behind the cut in funding and discuss some of the effects that it could have, in this Lip News clip with Gabriel Mizrahi.
