There are strict prohibitions on sexual contact before marriage in the conservative country, but that can be circumvented under the Shiite form of Islam practiced in Iran by “sigheh,” or temporary marriage, under which a couple can contract matrimony for as little as an hour.” * The Young Turks hosts Cenk Uygur & Ana Kasparian break it down.

I have heard of these online before, and some documentaries you watch actually show the clerics approving such marriages — I think there was one on prostitution in Iran on youtube and in order to make this legal they go get these temporary marriages. You have to hand it to the clerics, in the documentary you hear him saying ‘3 month minimum’..but this practice is way more insidious than some kids wanting to have sex. It is used to make prostitution legal in the eyes of God, at least according to their religion. In a country like Iran, more and more women are falling prey to a life of prostitution — its just sad to see women in any country being degraded in such a way.
