Sex is universal but some countries practice some, what we would deem, pretty crazy manifestations of the act.

Prom night?
Young men wear a tux, women dress in gowns. After a ball, the custom is to have sex in the back seat of a Chevy. Probably seems bizarre to other cultures.
I agree with John Iadarola about the young people having sexual experiences when they come naturally rather than being forced to wait to 18. The U.S. has one of the highest “age of consent” around the world. It’s obvious that puberty is when sexual desire begins. Most teenagers have hit puberty by sixteen for sure. The age of consent for sexual activity in the United Kingdom is 16. In Austria, Italy, and Germany, the age of consent is 14. In Sweden, France, and Denmark, it’s 15. Just think about all the people who wouldn’t be imprisoned right now or have their mug shots on Megan’s List as a sexual offender for the rest of their lives if our age of consent in this country was more reasonable, tied to natural bodily processes rather than superstitious, religious dogma. The U.S. falls behind nearly every western European country in so many issues because of our fundamentalist Christian heritage. I guess it’s somewhat to be expected since the U.S. is still a fairly young country. Western Europe is much older than we are and thus have had a much longer time to mature and think through so many issues about life.
