***WE NEED YOUR INPUT!*** Kurt Busch testifies his former girlfriend Patricia Driscoll is a badass assassin in response to her domestic abuse accusations. What is the truth of this case? Take our POLL at http://tytnetwork.com/crazies.
“Testifying about a request for a protective order against him, race car driver Kurt Busch told a Dover, Del., court this week that his former girlfriend is an assassin. Patricia Driscoll, who dated Busch for four years, requested the order last November, shortly after their relationship ended.
Driscoll has also filed a criminal complaint against Busch, alleging that he grabbed her and slammed her head into the wall of his motor coach at Dover International Speedway last fall. Busch denies those claims, which the authorities have been considering separately.” *

I love NASCAR and while I’m not a huge Kurt Busch fan (actually my favorite driver is his brother Kyle) I really didn’t think he was THIS crazy. He has always been a bit of a loose cannon which is why he’s had to switch teams so often but I honestly never saw him as the abusive type. And now this… it’s all just so absurd. So absurd that you have to wonder if maybe there is some truth in it somewhere. I don’t know what to think. I mean, these are somewhat macho guys right? Surely they at least try to act tough as it’s all a part of the sport and gaining respect on the track, so what driver admits that his girlfriend could kick his ass. I don’t know. Maybe they are both crazy.
One thing I would like to say about fighting the restraining order is of course he has to avoid having that against him if he wants to continue driving in NASCAR. It doesn’t seem so crazy to not want that hanging over your head as a professional driver who has to deal with being marketable enough to get and keep sponsorships and such. This is true whether he is guilty of the alleged abuse or not.
