Charlie Hebdo has released a new cover cartoon featuring Muhammad, and we discuss the free speech controversy around the publication a week after the terrorist attack in Paris, and we also discuss the Nigerian crisis with Boko Haram killing thousands in the last few weeks, including a brazen “suicide” attack using a young girl to blow up a crowded market. The decision by a Jerusalem newspaper to remove the women from a photo of global leaders marching in Paris for solidarity against tyrannical fundamentalism, as well as the decision to charge police officers in New Mexico for the murder of a homeless man–complete with video of the event–are also discussed with defense attorney Mike Cavalluzzi on this episode of Crime Time, hosted by Allison Hope Weiner.
