Looking returns for its season two premiere, “Looking for the Promised Land.” As we check in with the characters, we see Patrick is keeping his big work sex secret, while Dom seems to think he’s in an open relationship. Does the show still serve as a television hallmark for realistic/good gay programming? A new HIV positive character is added to the mix, opening up the door to that world of experience and stigma. Is this show a “heavy” dramatic show, or a lighter “Sex and the City” type?
