One thing this awful week has taught us is that the impact of a cartoonist is powerful. If you’ve had trouble explaining or understanding a complicated view, there’s a high chance one has helped make it clearer for you and those you share with. At the very least, a web comic or political cartoon has made you curious, angry, or thoughtful– it’s a subversive medium, one that can dismantle arguments and attitude, and then create new ones.
