Meth seizures at the U.S. border have reached new levels, according to statistics, which showed that while marijuana, cocaine and heroin
seizures fell in fiscal 2014, meth seizures rose eight percent from fiscal 2013. The drug is now largely produced in Mexico with Mexican cartels using the California border as their main smuggling route to pump cheap methamphetamine into the U.S. marketplace. We take a look at meth production in Mexico, smuggling routes in San Diego and the influx of seizures at the border, in this Lip News clip with Jackie Koppell and Gabriel Mizrahi.
