“St. Louis police officers condemned the NFL’s Rams today, calling their pre-game display of the “hands up don’t shoot” gesture to be “tasteless, offensive and inflammatory.” The lengthy statement issued by the St. Louis Police Officers Association demanded Stedman Bailey, Tavon Austin, Jared Cook, Chris Givens, and Kenny Britt be punished for the act.”

Only the police are allowed to tell the story. THEY are the ultimate authority now. Our ‘civilian defense force’, and we are the enemy.

When celebrities and athletes use their popularity for political ends, to motivate people towards a just cause, that is the best use of their fame. Maybe it’ll spark the right sort of conversation around our nation, so that this time and times after this police officers won’t so easily get away with murder …
