The Newsroom season 3, episode 4 , “Contempt” is reviewed. It seems a certain familiar real-world news network is lampooned as different takes on journalism and ethics are explored. Meanwhile, some romance in the office may amount to fanservice. Are the relationships successfully written? Does it make more sense to keep or remove the relationship aspect from the show? Later on, there is a slightly telegraphed twist– does it make sense? Is it bothersome? Is the show still a glimpse at our current world, or is it what the world has been or what it could be?
