Director Mike Nichols was an incredible, staggeringly mulch-faceted director with a huge number of hits on his resume. A rare EGOT, he is responsible for The Graduate, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Catch-22, Carnal Knowledge, Angels in America, Silkwood, Working Girl, The Birdcage, Closer, and Charlie Wilson’s War (his final picture). He was also responsible for staging the original theatrical productions of Spamalot and The Odd Couple, among many many other great achievements.
