1. How old are you and what state do you live in?

I am 63 years old and live in Galveston, TX.

2. When did you become a member of TYT?
I discovered TYT when you were on Air America.  After it went off the air, I followed you to your online site and have been subscribing ever since.  I knew TYT was something special and It was important to me to see you succeed.

3. How do you consume the show?
I watch the previous day’s show at my desk during work hours.   I watch the first two hours.  Sometimes I do the post game.  I don’t watch any of the other shows.  After a full day of work on my computer, the last thing I want to do when I get home is get on the computer!

4. What field do you work in?
I am a CPA and am the CFO of the Transitional Learning Center, a brain injury rehab group with facilities in Galveston and Lubbock (www.tlcrehab.org).

5. How would you describe TYT in 5 words or less?
“An oasis in the desert”  (Living in Texas, I was getting so sick of hearing all the right wing radio programs that bombarded the airwaves around here.  Finding progressive programs like the old Air America and then TYT was a godsend to me.)

6. Do you have a favorite TYT moment?
Not really.

7. Who is your favorite co-host? Why?
I like them all because each one brings their own flavor to the show.  I like the diversity.

8. What motivated you to take the extra step of becoming a paying member?
I have been a member since I started listening to you.  I know that an enterprise like yours needs money to be viable and I was very willing to pay the nominal membership fee to help you succeed.

9. Are surprised that the The Young Turks has grown into a multiplatform network of multiple channels?
Not at all.  I could sense early on that Cenk and crew not only had a vision, but were not afraid to try new things, even if they didn’t work out.  Each step Cenk and TYT have taken have led you to where you are today. As one of your older members, I feel like a proud parent watching you grow and succeed.  My husband (a recently retired Rabbi) and I are “sixties children” who wonder where all the liberal thinking hippies of our generation went to.  We are so glad TYT has developed into this multiplatform network to reach as many of my kids’ generation.  Knowing that you have so  many members/listeners gives me hope that the progressive movement in the country will be strong in the next generation.

10. Cenk often talks about the TYT brand as “truth telling.” What does this mean to you as a member?
I feel that I can hear an honest discussion from the co-hosts, even if I don’t always agree with you.

11. Which TYT host would you get coffee with? Which one would you go to the bar with? Who would you have dinner with?
I’m probably too old for y’all to want to go out with me (LOL) but I’d love to have coffee with Jayar, a bar with Ana, and dinner with Ben.

12. If you were a co-host on the show, which story would you cover? Why?
Can’t think of anything at this time.

13. Have you ever communicated with other TYT fans? If so, how?
I am on the Facebook page, but never post.

14. Has the show convinced you to change your position on a particular issue?
Not really but I appreciate the varied opinions.

15. Have you ever referred membership to anyone? If so, what did you say?
I’ve told a few folks about you but never referred membership.  I’ve told my daughter about you (she’s 27 and very progressive) and, of course, my husband.  I try not to discuss politics in Texas these days because my beloved state has been run over by Republicans!
