The Occupy Hong Kong protest may be over after activists have canceled a vote that would decide the future of their pro-democracy movement. Protest leaders backed out over a realization that they were rushing the vote and that the complexity of it’s motions must be handled with greater caution. Will the Beijing government ever give Hong Kong the freedoms that they want and democratize their voting process and how can the movement be revived?
