You guys do realize gamergate has no organization right? Just because some assholes in it are being assholes doesn’t mean that represents the whole. And how are others supposed to fight it other than how they are? Basically finding out who does things (like Anita’s speech thing, the guy who threatened to attack them? Yea, GGers found out who and reported it to authorities) and reporting it and speaking out against them?
Idiots look at the bad of the few and think it represents the whole and that’s what’s tiring me the most about this debate… and it’s both sides that do it. I’m sick of trying to educate both sides to not being so stupid and basing their opinion on an entire unorganized group on the actions of the few nutbags.

see that? Even though this media outlet claims it’s about harassing women, their facts don’t back them up. Yes, 10% of the comments are sexist/insults. That’s a problem. Opposed to 5% of the positive comments., But that leaves 85% of the tweets that aren’t bad or good, they are neutral.
As for the other statistics, those women who are tweeted at more, they didn’t do a proper analysis cause they should show it based on a % of how much they tweeted. That is, we don’t know if they have more responses because those women tweet more about it or are more prominent in the media/more famous than the guys who are tweeted at or if it’s because there literally is sexism. It also doesn’t still show that the whole is bad, just that those who keep tweeting against them like jerks are bad.
Please, treat things objectively, drop all feelings. Because all the people who are making claims without sufficient evidence really start making me feel something and I’d prefer to stay at my apathetic attitude.
