“Miss America has copped a lot of flack as both a person and an institution in recent months. But here’s something that frames it as the Nobel Peace Prize of beauty contests: a real-life Miss Hitler competition.
The Russian Facebook, VKontakte, is currently hosting a social media beauty pageant where young women compete for the ‘Miss Ostland 2014‘ crown by posting sexy Nazi selfies to the “Adolf Hitler” fan page, Vocativ is reporting. Reichskommissariat Ostland is the 1941 Baltic territory Nazi occupation under which over 1 million Jews were killed. Thinking about submitting your best anti-Semantic duckface? Probably don’t bother reciting anything about “world peace.”

Is it the norm to have so much chauvinism in your news? I find some of the articles interesting but if it’s going to be a male dominated chauvinistic show, this probably isn’t for me.
