A petition on change.org is demanding that the carrier “stop the bullying, intimidation and discrimination against women on your flights”.
One flight last week, from New York’s JFK airport to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport,descended into chaos according to passengers, after a large group of haredim, or ultra-orthodox Jews, refused to take their seats next to women, in accordance with strict religious customs.” *

Ultra Orthodox anything seems to get a pass on the issue of women’s rights. Imagine if they refused to sit next to an Asian or Black.
what ana is basically saying at the end: she is for freedom of belief and against freedom of religion. perfect. that distinction should be made way more often.. as in you are free to believe whatever you want, but you cant go around making others lives miserable or inconvenienced for you.
