1. How old are you and what state do you live in?
I am 43 years old and I live in Council Bluffs, Iowa (right across the river from Omaha, Nebraska)
2. When did you become a member of TYT?
I became a member in 2006 when TYT was on Sirius
3. How do you consume the show?
I download the show and listen/watch on my phone and car when ever I can (mowing the lawn, driving to work, during breaks, etc.)
I sometimes watch TYT and other network shows Chrome casting it on my tv.
4. What field do you work in?
I am a Vocal Music Teacher at Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa. I teach Concert Choir, Mixed Choir, Piano 1, Piano 2, Show Choir, and Jazz Choir, and direct the musical at the school.
5. How would you describe TYT in 5 words or less?
Family, Truth, informative, passionate, progressive
6. Do you have a favorite TYT moment?
There are soo many. But a more recent moment was the Indigogo campaign.
7. Who is your favorite co-host? Why?
Ana Kasparian is a great regular cohost. I am old school so I still love Ben Mankewicz.
I always laugh or get passionate when I hear Jimmy Dohr talk.
8. What motivated you to take the extra step of becoming a paying member?
I wanted to support something that tells the truth and doesn’t hold back. I wanted TYT to stay independent and not be beholden to Sponsors.
9. Are surprised that the The Young Turks has grown into a multiplatform network of multiple channels?
Not Really. I knew it was special and I tell everyone about it when ever I can. My family thinks I am obsessed. (I am)
10. Cenk often talks about the TYT brand as “truth telling.” What does this mean to you as a member?
This means everything. That is why I am a member.
11. Which TYT host would you get coffee with? Which one would you go to the bar with? Who would you have dinner with?
Jayar Jackson I would have Coffee with. Ana Kasperian I would go to the bar. I would definitely have dinner with Cenk.
12. If you were a co-host on the show, which story would you cover? Why?
I would cover domestic politics. Because I believe that local politics it where we can still make a difference.
13. Have you ever communicated with other TYT fans? If so, how?
I have talked to tyt fans mainly through Wolf PAC. But I did meet a fan in the middle of Iowa in a bar when I was at an Iowa Choral Directors Convention. It was fun.
14. Has the show convinced you to change your position on a particular issue?
Yes, I used to be against Drugs and Prostitution. Through the reporting on the show and the many debates I have done a complete 180
15. Have you ever referred membership to anyone? If so, what did you say?
I have tried to talk to my friend about joining. He hasn’t yet. I told him that I know that he enjoys TYT. If he becomes a member he could watch it any time.
