The college football playoff system is in its first year and seeing that 4 teams will have the chance to play for a National Championship is a major step in the right direction for the NCAAF. Outbursts occurred year in and year out over the BCS rankings and who would be selected to play for a national championship. Many of those National Championship games were between the #1 and #2 ranked team, but the #2 ranked team was often up for debate as to whether they or the #3 ranked team should occupy that spot. Power conferences will continue to play a key role in who gets selected to the 4 team playoff since the Pac-12, Big 10, ACC and SEC regularly have a stronger strength in schedule.
Will the 4-team playoff system work?
Should their eventually be more than 4 teams?
