Recently, there was news saying half of Viking warriors were discovered to have been female. Well, this isn’t exactly true, for a couple reasons. Reading into the study a little deeper finds that the method used to determine which remains were warriors and how to determine gender was a little iffy…but that’s not the only strange part of this archeological finding. It’s not to say there weren’t ANY female Viking warriors, but perhaps this story requires more examination. Kim Horcher, Tim Frisch, and Michele Morrow discuss.
