The Michael Brown killing sparked the Anonymous hackers to threaten Missouri police as part of what they are calling Operation Ferguson. The threat came via a video warning, in which the hacking collective promises retaliation if anyone protesting against law enforcement is harmed. We look at the video, in this Lip News clip with Mark Sovel and Lissette Padilla.

Coroners can tell if a gunshot occurred inside of the car without any problem because there would be powder residue. The type and spread of the powder would be able to indicate the distance between the gun and the victim which would be able to bolster or undermine the police story. If we can verify the entry and exit points for each wound, which is more difficult than it sounds, that would be more physical evidence in support of one of the two accounts. If the police are hiding a murderer, then they are aiding a criminal and obstructing a criminal investigation… which is a criminal offence. Having anonymous releasing their personal information seems like a minor situation compared to the prospect of the entire police department going to jail; not the least of which being the police chief.
Yes. Support the hell out of Anonymous. There’s a beautiful irony to this: the police refused to share any honest, pertinent information, and abuse the protestors; now more information will be available than the police would have released had they been transparent to begin with.
