PETA Is Paying Poor People in Detroit to Go Vegan

Things just keep getting worse for the residents of Detroit — nearly 300,000 people may soon have their water supply cut off for having delinquent bills. So far, 15,000 homes have been shut down, and the water company isn’t slowing.

But PETA — People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals — wants to lend a hand by agreeing to pay the late water bills of 10 Detroit families… as long as they go vegan.

  1. I think PETA is doing a great thing here. They do NOT have unlimited funds – they’re job is to help ANIMALS, yet here they are helping families out of their ANIMAL WELFARE budget. What are the charities that focus on PEOPLE doing for these Detroit families???

    The fact that PETA is encouraging animal welfare while helping people who need it is a brilliant idea, so I’m disgusted that you could turn it into a complaint.

    One of the first times I’ve ever disagreed wholeheartedly with TYT.
