It’s San Diego Comic Con Time! And with that comes a special giveaway– Nerd Alert is proud to be awarding 2 tickets to Star Trek: Live in Concert this Saturday July 26th at 8pm! Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino’s score is brought to life on stage by the San Diego Symphony Orchestra as J.J. Abrams’ blockbuster film is shown simultaneously in high definition on the big screen. The winner will also receive the Star Trek soundtrack signed by Giacchino, as well as a movie poster. It will be an incredible, powerful, and immersive fan event not to be missed! There will even be special giveaways for fans in costume. It’s all happening this Saturday at 8pm in San Diego (Embarcadero Marina Park South).
How can you win?

2) Give a reasoning of an instance when the Prime Directive should be violated– it doesn’t need to be too long, just a few sentences will do!
Kim will choose her favorite entry submitted before 6:00 PM on Thursday July 24th as the winner. PLEASE be clear if you can or cannot attend the concert event Saturday at 8 in San Diego. Don’t waste the tickets. Don’t be that guy.

2. Submissions must include A) liking the official Nerd Alert facebook page (facebook.com/nerdalertTYT and B) a short interpretation of a reason why the Prime Directive (as outlined in Star Trek continuity) should be violated.
3. Plagiarized work will be disqualified.
4. Multiple entries from one person will not be accepted.

6. Any personal data collected for any reason will not be re-used or redistributed in any way. (We don’t intend on collecting personal data except to mail the prize pack, but we are required to state this intent).
7. Prize pack of 2 tickets to Star Trek: Live in Concert taking place in San Diego, CA at Embarcadero Marina Park South on July 26th, 2014 at 8:00 pm plus one Star Trek (2009) poster and one signed Star Trek (2009) CD Soundtrack will be awarded to one contest winner as judged on criteria listed in part 2 by Executive Producer/Host of Nerd Alert, Kim Horcher. TYT employees and family members of TYT employees are not eligible.
8. A CBS/ Star Trek representative will send out the prize pack by mail. Tickets to Star Trek: Live in Concert will be available for pickup at the venue on July 26th.
9. Submissions are accepted from July 22, 2014 through July 24th, 2014 6:00 PM PST. Winner will be alerted on the evening of July 24th.
