As an American of Cuban descent, I find it amazing how little people know about Che Guevara’s role in the deaths of thousands in Cuba. To my mother and family, they consider him a Hitler-figure. Being a generation separated, I can understand the allure of his ideology, particularly his idealism before meeting Castro. After that point, though, he was changed and he gave up his ability see objectively how his action affected the people – for whom he believed he was fighting so vehemently.
