  1. What a load of crock. This is either bullshit “science” or just TERRIBLE reporting. Most likely, like most psych studies, it was only run on uni students (hardly a representative group of the population).

I knew all the “male” words and only 3 of the “female” words. And that’s because I’m a geek, not because of my gender.

Please TYT let’s not feed into the gender stereotypes.

  2. The word selection for males is pretty biased to the techy/sci fi/nerdy crowd. I don’t know many men who know most of those words outside of that crowd.

Depends on the world you live and work in which shapes your vocabulary. I am a female mechanical engineer who designs electrical systems, programs and manages a department, loves video games, and all things science. Yes, I knew all the male words, particularly solenoids, and only 75% of the female words. What does that really mean? Women aren’t represented wel in the tech fields or the gaming world. Soooo surprising.

  3. the percentages on the male words are total bullshit. There’s no way 88% of all men know what a codec is. What age rage is this? Maybe men under 35.
