Google Cardboard VR = The Cheap Answer to Morpheus and Oculus?

At the Google I/O conference, attendees received a super high-tech parting gift…a cardboard box? Not quite. Google gave out a cardboard foldable construction that looks like an inexpensive answer to Oculus Rift and Playstation’s Morpheus– you slide your Android phone behind the built-in lenses, and get one of seven “experiences” Google made for the product. Would you go for this inexpensive VR headset? Or is it worth it to go for the higher-tech models?
