Edgar Wright, who was set to direct Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man starring Paul Rudd, left the project this week, leaving the studio to find another driving artistic force behind the project. But why did he leave? Wright is the man famous for directing Shawn of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World’s End, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, among others. Does his body of work just naturally not gel with the studio’s vision for the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
