“Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is known for bold statements, and he made a few Wednesday at a conference in Nashville on the topic of banned Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling.
“I know I’m prejudiced, and I know I’m bigoted in a lot of different ways,” Cuban said in an interview shown at the annual GrowCo convention hosted by Inc. magazine, according to The Tennessean.
“If I see a black kid in a hoodie on my side of the street, I’ll move to the other side of the street. If I see a white guy with a shaved head and tattoos (on the side he now is on), I’ll move back to the other side of the street. None of us have pure thoughts; we all live in glass houses.””* The Young Turks hosts Ana Kasparian and Ben Mankiewicz break it down.

“Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is known for bold statements” – that’s because he has always been an asshole and attention seeker. If he wants to hop on the racist asshole wagon, well may he go ahead. Sterling and Trump will be his company. But if he’ll continue to fuel racism among NBA owners he can be made to sell the team as well. Stupid Cuban. I’m very disappointed and angry.
I think it says more about people like Cuban in that they are insecure around black people or feel vulnerable or threatened by them. Where this comes from could be linked to white guilt or some unnamed fear that whites instinctively feel. I’m not qualified to even guess where that comes from, but it’s not based on reality, but on years of prejudice that has created something that does not exist in the minds of some.
