  1. John: Shut up and stop interrupting! This woman has interesting things to say, and I don’t want to hear your yapping. You brought absolutely nothing to the conversation. Just smile, nod, and thank the lady for her thoughts.

  2. I’m an agnostic. But if a bigot questions it and call me an atheist, I wouldn’t challenge them. First of all, because it’s none of his business, and secondly, atheism is far better than bigotry, which is basically more or less voluntary choice to give up on thinking. Atheism is the most tolerant religion (belief that there are no Gods), because we mostly stand for religious freedom. A notable portion of believers have ‘spreading the word, telling “the truth”, convincing, “saving” etc) on their agenda. Our belief that there’s no god (while allowing anyone to believe in one) meets the criteria of freedom. And we tend to defend the freedom, including from religion being slammed to our lives (laws, schools, constitutions etc) by force.

    1. Atheism is neither a religion nor a belief system. It is only a specific answer to a specific question:
“Do you believe there is a God?”
      “No.”
      Congratulations, you’re an atheist.
