Net Neutrality is one of the most important topics our generation will need to fight for. Yes, it sounds like a grandiose statement, but it’s true. Corporations like Verizon, Comcast, AT&T and more may have the power to control what you have access to and what you won’t online, if FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler’s proposal is accepted. So-called fast-lanes for Netflix or other sites able to pay for preferential treatment sound nice at first, but the dreaded buffer wheel isn’t gone for long, assuredly. Data shouldn’t be discriminated by ISPs, it should be free and open to make way for the dissemination of ideas and innovation.
