The lawyer who argued before the Supreme Court against gay marriage in California learned while he was handling the case that his stepdaughter is gay – and is now helping her plan her wedding with another woman.

Attorney Charles Cooper argued in court that gay unions could undermine marriages between a man and a woman. But now his views are “evolving” – take a look at his quote from journalist Jo Becker’s new book “Forcing the Spring: Inside the Fight for Marriage Equality” in the video.
