One of the indicators that we might be losing cognitive abilities is that languages are becoming less and less complex. The further back in the development of languages you go, the more complex they become. Our language is much easier than the languages being spoken thousands of years ago, but most Americans can’t speak English correctly. We’re losing ground on that front, at least.
