CNN has had wall-to-wall coverage of missing Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 which rubbed MSNBC host and correspondent Chuck Todd the wrong way. But is his network also guilty of ‘breaking news’ over non-news? John Iadarola (host, TYT University and Common Room), Ana Kasparian, Desi Doyen (host, Green News Report), and comedian Jimmy Dore break it down on The Young Turks.

  1. unless we know at what point the screenshot of todd was taken, and, what was todd saying while the graphic was up. he may in fact have been bemoaning the topic he was on camera to beat to death. i’ve seen him do it before. thing is, we have no way to measure if he was being hypocritical by just a tweeted image and little to no context. it is possible he is. it’s also possible the screenshot was from days before… when the disappearance was still new. thus making it highly likely that todd, like maddow most notably, did decide at a point afterward, to stop blathering on about non-news. i just don’t think it’s wise to assume the screenshot was an apples to apples comparison… without checking into it more. haters gonna tweet, always.

    1. sorry, bad editing on my part. i cut the very first sentence.. should be preceded by “i find it hard to jump on the todd bashing bandwagon just because msnbc is a large network…”

and i’ll now add that if anyone wants to falsely equate the overall coverage of cnn to msnbc, they’re welcome to do so. but it would be a rather intellectually lazy ass thing to do, that i would not expect from tyt. jussayin’. taking msnbc to task on specific points is good. but equating their overall content to cnn would be like someone equating tyt to britebart or worldnetdaily…
