“A Florida woman who became known in Internet memes as the “attractive convict” after a 2010 arrest is suing a website for using her mugshot to make a profit.
Meagan Simmons’ mugshot following her July 25, 2010, arrest for drunk driving has seen her photo make top hot mugshots lists on websites, but she says InstantCheckmate.com used her photo in advertising without her permission, the Tampa Bay Times reported.
The ad by the public records search website shows Simmons’ mugshot and has the words, “Sometimes, the cute ones aren’t so innocent.””* The Young Turks hosts Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian break it down.
