“A Virginia senator who callously summed up pregnant women as “hosts” carrying unborn babies is under fire after his controversial Facebook rant against a pro-choice coalition.

Republican Steve Martin backpedaled on his use of the word Monday after publicly slamming a Valentine’s Day card sent to him by the Virginia Pro-Choice Coalition that argued for a range of health care, including abortions.

“All women deserve access to their full range of reproductive health options — including preventing unintentional pregnancies, raising healthy children, and choosing safe, legal abortion,” the letter allegedly sent by the Virginia Pro-Choice Coalition read.”* The Young Turks hosts Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian break it down.
