Cenk hosting today. The man that played McGruff the Crime Dog has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for drug and weapons charges. He was stopped for speeding in 2011 when a drug sniffing dog discovered that he had extensive marijuana growing blueprints. A search of his home found 1000 weed plants, 9000 rounds of ammo, 27 weapons, and a grenade launcher. Videos of some old McGruff commercials. Scott Walker told a Conservative magazine that he voted for Ronald Reagan back when he was President. It turns out that Walker was only 17 years old when Reagan ran for reelection, and 13 when he ran originally, so he wasn’t able to vote. Republican State Senator from Wisconsin has decided to leave politics overall because he’s has enough of the business of politics where “a couple dozen billionaires have bought the government.” A Koch Brothers-backed candidate is running against him in a primary because they felt he isn’t Conservative enough. An onslaught of Republicans are leaving the Party in Florida as more and more are being primaried and told that they aren’t radically Conservative enough against minorities and women.
At the national level, Republicans are catching heat from their radical base over their apparent agreement to do immigration reform. After the chemical spill nearly destroyed a town in WV due to the contamination of the water supply, the water company promised to provide credits to the customers’ water bills since they were without water for some time. After this promise and mandated flushing of water, the credits never showed up on their bills, and they were actually charged for it. Fox News and Conservative politicians continue to misreport the CBO news that the equivalent of 2.5 million jobs will be lost by 2024 due to the introduction of ObamaCare. GOPers are also misrepresenting the Democratic explanation that people will have freedom to work where they want, and when they want. WalMart released an ad reminiscing on when America was all about hard work, and not to bail out on jobs in search of ObamaCare. Videos of Fox and Friends bashing the idea of employment freedom.
Glenn Greenwald’s new site dedicated to exposing the drone and spying programs is now up and running. Cenk reviews Obama’s promise that the drone program chooses the path least likely to end in death for people. The details about the program’s death seeking characteristics don’t match up with the president’s assertions at all. Latest news shows that another American citizen has been put on the drone kill list. Republican Mike Rogers complained that Obama isn’t killing enough people, innocent or guilty, American or foreign.
