Cenk, Ben, David Rubin, and Jimmy Dore hosting.  Drama surrounding the Opening Ceremony at the Olympics in Sochi included protesters outside of the ceremony being arrested promoting gay rights.  Talk about whether Russia should’ve gotten the Olympics in the first place.  Cenk declares that he’s on the way to hating the Olympics.  A potential airplane hijack took place on a plane that left the Ukraine.  The hijacker threatened with with a bomb to send the flight to Sochi, but it landed in Turkey, as planned.

Audio of the phone conversation between the Asst Sec of State and the Ambassador to the Ukraine revealed her saying, “Fuck the EU” in dealing with the conflict in the country.  She was hoping that the UN could help the situation better than the EU is currently doing.  Discussion over whether or not this conversation was a big deal if not for the colorful language.  82,000 tons of coal sludge has spilled into the water in North Carolina from Duke Energy’s plant.  Story of the breakdown of trickle down economics and how its really b/s.
