“On Tuesday, conservative radio host Laura Ingraham joined the hosts of Fox & Friends to preview the political debates of the week. Ingraham and the hosts agreed that the president and his allies were going to attempt to shift the national conversation away from health care and toward more favorable terrain like the coming urge to address “income inequality.” Ingraham was not worried, though, and said that this was an issue that the Republican Party could easily deflate.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck opened the segment by declaring that President Barack Obama will spend as much time as he can attempting to shift the public’s anger away from health care and toward structural inequality.
“We’re set to hear rage against the machine, but isn’t he the machine?” Hasselbeck asked.”* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

Don’t give a shit about this story in any way other than to say that the dismissive nature Cenk has when discussing the NHL demonstrates that he’s out of touch. The NHL is rapidly expanding in popularity as compared to the NBA. This despite a recent lockout and work stoppage.
Stating that NHL players are somehow dumb because they’ve taken pucks off of the head is also amusing. Compare the incidents of head injuries in the NHL to those in his favored sport, Football. I’m a fan of both sports, but I’m more of a hockey fan than I am a football fan. The NHL is on the rise. Will it ever eclipse the NFL? Pretty much a certainty that it won’t come close. Is the NFL a corporate sack of shit entity with what essentially amounts to slave laborers that they give zero fucks about? Yes.
Another thing that puts hockey above the NFL for me personally is, the players aren’t absolute freaks of nature. They’re actually normal looking human beings by and large. NFL players are, for the most part, giants.
