Crist backed a ban on gay marriage in his state when he was governor. Given the complexities of politics and the political climate on the federal and state level, where is the line between hypocracy and a politician’s genuine personal evolution on an issue? Democrats in South Carolina are backing a bill making prayer in public school mandatory! That’s not a typo. These are Democrats. In order to try to avoid constitutionality issues, the legislation proposes a compromise allowing students to pray to “whomever they want to”. Even with the compromise, the bill is still unconstitutional in all liklihood.
